Waynette Anderson is a live music venue owner/operator, entrepreneur, and event marketing expert who values honesty and hard work. As a multi-business owner and creator, Waynette brings unique perspectives gained from her experience to your organization, empowering you to create a mindset that never needs a backup plan.
Waynette’s own journey to excellence has been fueled with an unrelenting passion for her community and providing entertainment that brings people together. From a childhood fascination with producing events, Waynette’s gift and passion for seeing great potential and acting on it have allowed her to grow her career and inspire others to pursue their own “Plan A”.
Waynette founded the management entity of Dr Pepper Park, Sponsor Hounds, Inc., 15 years ago. In 2015, she launched River Rock Entertainment, Inc. dba Dr Pepper Park at the Bridges in downtown Roanoke. Her venue has been voted Best Live Music Venue, Best Place to See a Show and Best Hidden Gem by the readers of the Roanoke Times, Roanoker Magazine and the viewers of WSLS-TV.
I didn’t hesitate to book Waynette Anderson to speak to FemCity Roanoke and our Chamber of Commerce’s International Women’s Day celebration. I have witnessed Waynette pour her heart and sweat equity into everything she does for years. I know she has empowered others quietly behind the scenes and now, she is taking the stage to empower a larger audience with her story of grit and determination. I’ve heard great reviews from attendees from both events about how much they needed the reminder to stay focused on their plan A, the vision to Ante Up to be the best of the best, and the importance of being kind and showing grace in adversity.
Waynette was a guest speaker at our Rotary Club. She was engaging, relevant and fun. She discussed the practical methods she used to succeed that can be replicated in almost any business. It was thought provoking and has added value to what I do every day in my profession.
I invited Waynette to speak at our Downtown Roanoke Rotary meeting. Her passion for her vision certainly shined through during her presentation. She left the group feeling proud to have a world class live music venue in our hometown!
